Founded in 1968 to protect the interests of independent wholesale bakers from antitrust and anti-competitive mergers and acquisitions. IBA represents bakers' interests to federal agencies crafting labor, tax and environmental regulations and calls on Congress to support market-oriented farm commodity programs.
IBA publishes a monthly Washington Report of legislative and regulatory actions with analysis for wholesale baking and allied industry operations. As needed Press Releases share developing information about regulations, politics and efforts of IBA. More resources are available on the LinkedIn Discussion Bulletin.
IBA convenes three times a year including an Annual Convention in June at Washington, D.C. Additional meetings convene across the country to enable convenient attendance for IBA Members. Meetings feature specialist expertise and guidance on a variety of industry and government issues as well as serve as open forums for IBA Members to tackle industry concerns.
